Shep was SB President when I was a freshman at Beverly High. He was the first true hero in my life. I still greet people in passing as he did. I also was Student Body President - - - - and it was because of his influence in my life and the way I carried myself. That will always be with me.

We are in the process of celebrating a 80th B'day party for our Beverly Hills High School class of 1956. Naturally Shep is always in our hearts and so many of us miss him and Joanie.
He left his mark in a very good way...

I am so sad to read of his death. I have not seen him since the 50's but he was someone you did not forget! He was kind, funny and a good friend in elementary school at El Rodeo and at Beverly Hills High School. Please accept my good good thoughts of Shep. Sincerely, Dorothy Atwood Fitzsimons

Joni, Ken, and Geri,

I was so sad to learn of Shep's passing. I worked with the family from 1968 until 1972 when my first chlld was born. This was my first "real" job out of high school and I was petrified. You all, including Mrs. Cutler, made me feel right at home and erased my fears. You were like family and I loved you all. You went through some wonderful and sad times with me, my marriage, Paul leaving for

Shep was an extraordinary person and a charming magician. I'm very fortunate to have met Shep and his wife Joni. My thoughts and prayers are with Shep, his family, and his dear friends - I am so sorry for you loss.

Joni and Ken,
We lived a block apart, attended El Rodeo 2nd-6th grade, played baseball in vacant lots, laughed a lot and then moved away. My mother said he would go far and was right. Spoke only once 2 years ago and yet he has always been a part of me over the years. Something special lasted within me, and I'm sad to lose my "oldest best" friend. My thoughts are with you.

In 1956 I was a freshman at Beverly High. Shep was my hero and model as I got involved in school life. It's amazing how long ago that was, but when someone touches your life there is no timetable - he'll always be there.

Joni, we were so sorry to hear of your loss. You have been in our thoughts and prayers this past week. We were at MUSC today and learned of his passing. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Such a wonderful person and we were so blessed to meet him. What a great inspiration he was.

I am so very sad to hear about Shep's passing. I have only fond memories of him and Joni. He was kind, funny, well-dressed and young at heart. He will be missed.
